When most people think of Thanksgiving they think of the food, the football and the shopping. Often when they think of family it is of the petty conflicts and the little things that can make the day a hassle.
I hope that we can all take some time to remember the truly important things.
Remember that you have a warm bed to sleep in and that every day you eat meals many in this world would consider a feast greater than the one you enjoy today.
Remember that no matter how much those you love may sometimes get on your nerves that your life would be emptier without them.
Remember that there are people in this world who love you, people who would find their lives empty without you.
As a good friend of mine often says, remember to tell the people you care about that you love them, for you would not want to have missed that opportunity after they are gone.
