An October Surprise is supposed to be a revelation that dramatically alters the trajectory of a presidential election the month before the election.
The October Surprise of 2016 may have just sunk Donald Trump’s chance of becoming the next President.
A New York Daily News front cover says it all:
A USA TODAY headline elaborates:
A Washington Post story states, “Donald Trump bragged in vulgar terms about kissing, groping and trying to have sex with women during a 2005 conversation caught on a hot microphone, saying that “when you’re a star, they let you do it,” according to a video obtained by The Washington Post.”
If this particular October Surprise doesn’t sink Trump’s presidential quest, then nothing will.
In my previous posts, I make no secret my desire for Hillary Clinton to be politically punished for her sleazy behavior. I have also refrained from saying who I believe will win.
This new revelation about Trump changes all of that.
Despite her behavior, Hillary Clinton has never been indicted for criminal wrongdoing, and voters might forgive her for what she has done.
Trump, however, might not be on the receiving end of such forgiveness.
Frankly, I can’t think of a good reason why he should be.
It used to be that pigs would fly before someone proved to be of worse character than Clinton.
Right now, Trump is making Clinton look good in the “character” department, which means that we all should be on the look out for flying pigs.
The “Wanted” posters say the following about David: “Wanted: A refugee from planet Melmac masquerading as a human. Loves cats. If seen, contact the Alien Task Force.”
