President Barack Obama last night appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s late night show and generally got good reviews (most criticism seemed politically based and politically motivated). Here’s the segment so you can watch it — and judge it — for yourself:

You can do a search on the reaction to it HERE (but yes Fox News will react as you suspect both online and on the air).

By watching it yourself and surfing some news and blog articles you can get a better idea of how he fared — minus the pro partisan (D) and anti partisan (R) spin.

FOOTNOTE: In case you haven’t guessed, this is all about trying to rope in young voters. Before Election Day will we see Mitt Romney on Jon Stewart?

Prior to WJC I think these sorts of appearances would have been considered undignified and beneath serious consideration for presidents and candidates. I understand the need to appeal to younger voters, but it still seems a little to casual to my old-fashioned sensibilities.

I agree, z. But a lot of things offend my old-fashioned sensibilities. :-)

Yeah, it’s good to still be around though. 😉
