It would be nice if Romney had some legitimate suggestions to offer without adding his overtones of cynacism and dissappointment.
I don’t see him as much of a team player willing to work for the good of the country though.

Why? Even republicans have been running from the guy. It’s a typically conciliatory gesture from Obama, but Romney has done nothing to deserve it. Even so, it will be seen as classy by a lot of people who aren’t just democrats, so I suppose it makes sense.

I agree, it is a classy and more importantly a respectful gesture. Romney has not returned any gesture displaying either.
Reps know this, and may view him as “weak” or “too nice”. This may backfire and cause him to actually lose respect with some people, especially if Romney keeps up his nasty jabs after the luncheon.
