In a move that is all but certain to lock up a Senate gain for the GOP, Delaware AG and VP son Beau Biden has announced he will not run for his father’s old seat. This pretty much means Senator Mike Castle (R-DE) will take office next year.
In Arkansas, a second Congressman, Democrat Marion Berry has announced his retirement. This means Arkansas will be very competetive this fall with two open House seats and a vulnerable Senate seat.
Independent political analyst Suart Rothenberg has updated his picks and is shifting more seats into the vulnerable category, most of them Democratic. He now predicts around 28 seat gain for GOP.
Obviously this does not mean the GOP is going to sweep in November but it is not good news for the Democrats
