Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson is running a rap ad in an effort to attract black voters. ABC News reports the 60-second radio ad, “Freedom,” is scheduled to air on Friday in eight markets.

The rap ad uses rapper Aspiring Mogul, with portions of Carson’s stump speech throughout the ad.

“His new $150,000 radio ad buy, called “Freedom,” will air for two weeks in Miami, Atlanta, Houston, Detroit, Birmingham, Alabama, Jackson, Mississippi, Memphis, Tennessee and Little Rock, Arkansas,” ABC News reports.

That’s great that he’s trying to attract black voters, but shouldn’t that also involve campaigning on some of the issues confronting the black community?
