A faux firestorm has erupted among “Hillary Haters” over Clinton’s use of a private e-mail system, allegedly to thwart access to her e-mails, private and otherwise.
Criticism is so severe that some Democrats — even some “Clintonistas” — are beginning to see fire in the faux smoke and are beginning to suggest that perhaps there should be a “Plan B” or even a “Plan C” for the 2016 presidential campaign in the form of Democratic competition for Hillary or even a brand new candidate, respectively.
Well, it so happens there could be one man who fits both plans.
It is a person who will not be plagued by e-mail scandals.
It is our one and only Joe Biden.
Andy Borowitz at the New Yorker explains why Joe is the ideal candidate.
Joe Biden has written two e-mails while serving as Vice-President for the past six years, Borowitz reveals, and he adds, “In what could be a prelude to a Presidential run in 2016, on Friday Joe Biden released to the public both e-mails that he has written…”
Borowitz assures us that Biden has sent both messages from his official government e-mail address and that Biden has nothing to hide.
Borowitz adds:
Minutes after the e-mails were released, the media pored over the treasure trove of materials, which offer a fascinating behind-the-scenes glimpse into Biden’s tenure as Vice-President.
.
The first e-mail, written to President Obama in December of 2009, asks about the time and place of the White House holiday party.
.
The second and last e-mail, written in May of last year, asks the President, “Is our Internet slow today? I’m trying to watch something,” followed by a frowny-face emoticon.
.
According to Biden’s records, the President did not respond to either e-mail.
Talk about a faux-fire-proof candidate.
But wait, there is that shoulder-rubbing and ear-whispering scandal…
