SMH: Mississippi pastor Edward James dressed a horse in a wedding dress and stood outside the federal courthouse to protest same sex marriage. Um, I didn’t realize a horse can consent to marriage in the same way as a gay or straight couple.
WJTV reports Pastor James, of Bertha Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Charlotte, thought of this ridiculous scheme all by himself in response to a federal decision to lift the ban on same-sex marriage in Mississippi was handed down in November.
“The horse is to show the ridiculous idea of two men getting married,” James said. He said,“I’m a Mississippian and I’m praying and hoping that we will remain a state that only recognizes marriage between a man and a woman.”
Edward James said, “I’ve had 100-percent support so far, thumbs up, tooting on the horns, I’ve even had a couple come out and give me a hug and hug the horse.” Oh well, this is happening in Mississippi.
