I posted some of these thoughts back on Memorial Day but felt it fitting to repost them today.

Happy Veterans Day !

Remember that there are many brave men and women who are away from those they love, standing watch so that you can spend time with yours.

Remember that their families give up so much in order to help protect yours

Remember those who have made so many sacrifices for you.

Although I never had the honor to serve myself, I do know many who have and am often struck by the good natured (if somewhat serious) ribbing they give to the other branches.

But today everyone stands together.

Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard

All brothers and sisters under the skin, all stand ready to defend the other.

The families of those who serve united in a way that goes almost beyond understanding.

And the rest of us stand in humble awe at the sacrifices made for we who deserve it not.

Thank you for all who served, all who do serve, and all who gave the last full measure of devotion.
