Those of us who long believed Obamacare was flawed but a giant step in the right direction have been suspecting that the Democrats were only halfway defending the legislation until it got through the Supreme Court. Why burn political capital that could be completely wasted if the Supreme Court rendered it moot? A spate of ads started coming out from the Obama team the very day after the decision, and now we see Democrats are completely on offense now rather than playing the halfhearted defense they have been for the last couple of years.
The timing couldn’t be better in my view. The national referendum on health care looms. Let’s have it and get it over with.
