One more insane person takes a life. How shocking and tragic.
I was born and raised in NY and took the subway alot. I never remember hearing anyone being deliberately pushed onto tracks. We all knew people fell or jumped onto them, especially when drunk or suicidal, but no one feared for their safety as they must now.
People hugging the walls of the platform is not a bad idea.

Build fences along the tracks? Don’t stand with your back to others near tracks? Stay away from the edge? Treat the mentaly ill? Ban subways?

“ban subways” If you have ever ridden on them, you know it’s a reasonable suggestion.
