Stop The Presses!!! Bad Black Men Kidnap Beautiful White Woman!!!

The alleged abduction of a 38-year-old white mother and her nine-year-old daughter by two black men in suburban Philadelphia this week stunk on ice from the start. It took only 24 hours for that scenario to come crashing down on a local news media that went through the motions of covering a story that was incredible on its face with nary a trace of skepticism — and has been foisted on unsuspecting cops and reporters many times before.

Women and sometimes women and their children go missing much too often in and around a big city like Philadelphia, and it’s a pretty good chance that they’re black and get little or no news coverage.

But Bonnie Ann Sweeten is willowy tall and has blond hair, blue eyes and is attractive. Local media — print and teevee — treated the story as if it was Armageddon on wheels — in this case the silver 2005 GMC Denali SUV that Sweeten was driving with daughter Julia Rakoczy as a passenger when, according to what she told police, she was rear ended by two black men in a black Cadillac sedan at a suburban Philadelphia intersection who then threw her into their trunk.

The circumstances of Sweeten’s initial call and at least seven subsequent calls to police, including two during which they were able to talk to her at length, raised a number of . . . um, awkward questions that stopped me cold but were beyond the grasp of a gullible news media.

Sweeten told police that she was abducted in Feasterville in suburban Bucks County about 2 p.m. Tuesday. But there was no sign of the Denali when police rushed to the scene. Her first 911 call was traced to a cell phone tower near 15th and Chestnut streets many miles away in Center City Philadelphia where the Denali, a parking ticket on its windshield left at 2:20 p.m., was found, an indication that the SUV might have been there the entire time.

Meanwhile, if Sweeten was abducted, why didn’t her assailants take her cell phone? Why did they allow her the opportunity to repeatedly call police? Why did she tell police how to contact her husband but nothing about her abductors’ descriptions beyond their blackness?

And if Sweeten is the wonderful mother that her husband described on NBC‘s “Today Show” on Wednesday morning, why did she withdraw Julia from school on May 1?

Because she planned to take her away. A review of video surveillance camera tapes at Philadelphia International Airport revealed that Sweeten and Julia boarded a Tampa-bound flight just as the FBI and other law enforcement agencies were throwing their full weight into rescuing them from those bad black men and a crisis intervention team rushed to Julia’s school to counsel her shocked classmates.

Sweeten’s make-believe saga ended on Wednesday evening at the ultimate land of make-believe, Walt Disney World, where she was arrested at one of the resort’s hotels. She will be charged with making false reports and identity theft, and it appears that the $12,000 in cash that she was carrying might have been stolen from one or more former employers.

Julia’s biological father, Anthony Rakoczy, was to go to Florida on Thursday to pick her up.

It’s lucky that this woman was able to escape to Disney World. Let’s hope they catch the bad black men soon so that white women will be safe again.

(just wanted to see Shaun’s head explode)

Shaun – agree this is despicable on many levels, but you have been around the news world for years. You certainly had to be in editor’s meetings, especially ‘back in the day’, when one of the first questions asked was ‘what color was the ‘victim’.

This is not ‘news’, not even that it still goes on with all the ‘enlightened media’ that have been churned out by j-schools for decades.

p.s. – unless that is a surprising bad photo, she isn’t that beautiful, either. 🙂

But as Al Sharpton said (re: Tawana Brawley) what’s important is “It could have happened!”

The headline on this makes me sick!! You are so focused on the fact that this (obviously disturbed) woman named 2 black men as her kidnappers rather than the real story! The little girl who was thrown in the middle of this. The waste of public resources when they could be working on finding someone who was really kidnapped. If you ask me, you are just as racist by harping on something so unimportant in the grand scheme of things. If she named 2 white men would you talk about the real news in the story or find a way to twist it into something racial????

First off, if this woman would have named two white men as her kidnappers, who would have believed her?

Next, all the little girl got was a trip to Disney World (not bad).

As far a Shaun is concerned, he supports affirmative action, public schools and welfare, so of course he’s racist.

You’re just as bad… Simply sickening that you would make light of what happened to this child! The mental and emotoinal scars of watching her mother be arrested, finding out the truth and having to deal with this for the rest of her life!!!!!! I hope you don’t have children that you’re teaching your smug values to!

Oh, get a grip. Children are very resilient, as long as they are kept away from those that want to help them ‘deal with their pain of emotional trauma’.

And I know of what I speak – my family lived through it. When we finally walked away from the ‘professionals’, we all started truly healing and putting it behind us.

    “You’re just as bad…”

Actually, Shaun and I were separated at birth. Mom never would have sold him to the Gypsies if we didn’t really need the money – for a trip to Disney.

Many of the comments listed highlight the ignorance of white supremacy. They obviously don’t get the historical relevance of a story like this one. Let’s not forget that just 50 years ago the police might not have even been called. This kind of allegation would have been left up to the KKK or the White Citizens counsel (same thing), a linch mob would have gathered and they would have found 2 black men to hang. This is as much a part of American history as anything else. As much as people of color would like to move forward with a positive social and political agenda, stories like this take people back to a darker time in American history.
