Leave It to the Irish…

Say or think what you will about the Tea Party, say or think what you will about Barack Obama, say or think what you will about a foreigner involving himself in U.S. politics, a 2010 interview between outspoken human rights activist — now Irish President — Michael D. Higgins and Boston conservative radio show host Michael Graham has gone viral.

The website Upworthy posted the audio a couple of weeks ago with the headline, “A Tea Partier Decided To Pick A Fight With A Foreign President. It Didn’t Go So Well.”

The Huffington Post introduces the audio clip with “Leave it to the Irish to teach their American cousins a thing or two about the ancient art of the smackdown.”

Hear for yourself.

I would love to see him debate a real “douche” with the initials R. L.

  • Where was this two years ago?? It could have made a real difference then …

    Good question, Barky.

Still, even two years later, it sounds good 🙂

“…instead of a wanker whipping up fear!” I like the tone of that…

Oh, and I live in the Boston area, too.
