‘Let Ahmadinejad and the Supreme Leader Continue’: Dar al-Hayat, Saudi Arabia »

It is said, in Persian, her name, Neda, means ‘the voice.’
And by ordering this young voice to be killed in the streets, the “supreme leader” Ayatolla has made sure by murdering someone idealistic and good… her voice will now live forever, rather than ever die away.
According to reports, the pre-meditated murder of Neda was carried out by a member of the Basij, a volunteer paramilitary organization of hotheads who long to be important but failed to make the grade to be accepted into the Iranian Revolutionary Guards– yet this group of wanna-bes take swill and orders from IRG under the direction of the not so “Supreme Leader” of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini… now, dubbed, The Supreme Murderer of Iran.
A Middle East news Web site, Al Bawaba, reported that Neda was pronounced dead two minutes after the footage here was taken. The footage is heartbreaking, not only how easily the thin body envelope is fatally pierced, but the literal wailing of the men, young and middle aged, trying to save Neda.
They were not able to save her, but her name will live in blessed memory forever. And those who tried to save her, also will live staggered, but likely even stronger. Ask any Nam vet who saw a member of his platoon blown away before his eyes.
From International J Post:
“According to Al Bawaba, “The video has since seen a wide global circulation and developed into a rallying cry for the hundreds of thousands of demonstrators in Iran who have disputed President Ahmadinejad’s June 12 victory over rival Mir Hossein Mousavi.”
Neda, has been dubbed, “the voice of the Iranian revolution,” by users of social networking sites, Twitter and Facebook.”
CODA
Some reports have Neda b. 1982, others say she was sixteen years old. What is certain is her murder. As the fog of early reporting clears, we will know more facts soon.

While crying on the death of an innocent galvanized by the most intelligent stupid of all times-mosavi, it should be understood that there are a lot of internal and external actors who want this movement to be coloured with blood. If mosavi does not believe in the Iranian regime, why he is asking for re-elections. Those who have done some thing with elections would do the same thing again. Who is gonna stop them. Mosavi knows it very well, but his intentions are only to spread chaos and instability.
eejays…this is much bigger than Mosavi.
Just a question.
How much of this is the Kuwati baby incubator story all over again?
Back during Desert Shield we were treated to a young woman testifying before the UN about Iraqi soldiers removing Kuwaiti babies from their incubators in order to send the incubators back to Iraq.
It later turned out that the woman was the daughter of a Kuwaiti diplomat and that she had not even been in Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion and the incubator theft never took place.
It was a story cooked up by the advertising agency hired by the Kuwaiti government to sell the war to the US public.
No much of the reporting from Iran are low quality vid's and audio with zero second sourcing.
As such they have the veracity of a rumor or gossip.
If it was any other subject it would never be reported as fact and would always be accompanied by the label “unconfirmed or unverifiable report” from a source who's veracity we can not confirm.
“How much of this is the Kuwati baby incubator story all over again?”
I had the same thought over the weekend, given all the emotional hype we're being treated to about this and so many other details (rivaling the silly childishness about the “social networks” and Twitter, etc.).
There's nothing we can do and little we should really be doing other than wait and see how this all ends.
“How much of this is the Kuwati baby incubator story all over again?”
With the emotionalism and sensationalism, sadly, we've not all outgrown this. More specifically, in addition, this mainly-young-people's “cause” has been adopted by the lefty kiddies here (along with their favorite techno-toys).
Fortunately, Obama (even though subject to attack by the Left as well as by the Right) is behaving okay.
dear Dorian. . .rarely do i disagree with one of your comments, but on this one????. . .
I think what is happening with the people in Iran, young and old, male and female along with the the social networking as one the most interesting newsworthy stories on this year. . .This is social change that is signaling a new and growing voice of the power of the people, rather than power over the people. . .these are the little folks that are the faces of global change. . . as many years as they have been repressed, i hoping this is an opening , especially the women and the children. . .
but then Dorian i may be naive and my mind of fond opening through the heart?
also did you look at the video? i do not think this is a staged story like the Kuwait baby story, looks like the deathing experience and face of a young woman . . .
Dear Sparrow, I think you meant another commenter? Dorian is D.E. Dewind.
?
You can edit your own comment if you wish, if it has an error.
dr.e
unbelievable
The LA Times has an article about her on their site, “Family, friends mourn Iranian woman whose death was caught on video.”
why did u kill neda?
she was just trying to strive for whats right and help her country!!!!!!!
DLS, do you think you could be any more cynical? When innocent people are killed an emotional reaction is normal and appropriate… at least among people who are capable of empathy. One can feel and express feeling without abandoning intellect. As for your continuing delusion about being the voice of maturity, that ceased to be amusing long ago. It's time you developed a new shtick.
My heartfelt prayers go out to Neda Soltani's family for their loss & sacrifice. Like many of our American Military, may she not die in vain, but may freedom ring–loud & clear throughout Iran. Good night twitterverse!
There were 8 security persons of Iran, who were also killed during the same very violence. But world chose the murder of an innocent girl only to exploit and incite emotions against Iran. Those security men were also the brothers of sisters like Neda Solatni. Dont know why moderate voices never rise for those.
Marwa al-Sherbini, a 32-year-old Egyptian national, stabbed to death in front of court. Where is the Independent voice and of course the concern of Europe. The European market sees no buyer for this piece on news.
