Dem Infighting In Full Swing

First it was Murtha and now it’s Dean.

What’s justified and what isn’t?

My opinions are here.

Wasn’t it Dean’s idea to put a lot of money into second-tier races, as part of his fifty state strategy? Didn’t guys like Carville think all the money should be spent on first-tier (ie., safe) seats?

Is the real complaint that the Dean wasn’t right enough–or that he was too right?

I confess I don’t remember the details and don’t have the time to look anything up, so I may be getting Carville’s part in this wrong.

it ain’t the parties, its the people. We simply DO NOT have enough good people serving in elective office right now.

I recall the various infighting after Dean got the post. And the infighting that he’d spent too much money a year out before the election.

I kind of liked seeing Dean get the slot, he’s a bit out there but he has capability to energize voters Dem’s normally couldn’t get.

As long as Dean’s there, there will be levels of complaints against him.

All we need now is for Elrod to come on and tell us to disregard it.

    Amen on that.

    Beyourguest:

You don’t need to look anything up, you’ve got it right. Dean posed the 50 state strategy and Begala/Carville &Co. have been ragging on and on about that ever since.

They haven’t done much for the party since the mid 1990′s. They do like snipe from the side and marry Republican hitwomen.

Like a lot of people, I though Dean was a bad risk when he first came to the forefront in 2003. I see that I was wrong.

  8. Pyst says:

The DLC backers want the DNC head post, and with it the power and money they can play with. Dean isn’t DLC therefore he has to go, it’s that simple folks.

  9. jjc says:

I think Pyst has it right. The irony is that Dean used to be a member in good standing of the DLC.
