Tragedy At Amish Schoolhouse
The New York Times reports that a gunman walked into an Amish schoolhouse: six people have, reportedly, died. Among them the gunman.
According to early reports, the gunman, described as “not a young person,” entered the school about 11 a.m. and took several girls hostage, ordering the boys to leave.
When the state police arrived on the scene – the community has no local police force-they tried to get the man, whom they addressed as “Roy,” to drop his gun. Shooting broke out, causing an unknown number of injuries.

Looks to be a copycat crime related to the Colorado school shooting. I hope most of cable takes the “Highroad” and aviods being a Nancy Grace.
Good news… we now have an explanation for why today’s, and every other, school shooting took place.

Nick thanks for the link. Tony Perkins of FRC is blaming the Foley incident on gays and our moral relatism that accepts the gay lifestyle. These idiots pray to the same god(no capital G).
What a terrible, terrible tragedy. The Amish as a society have been under huge pressures for a long time now. I wonder what this will do to that community, especially considering the murderer was an outsider.
Seems like innocence is slowly being gunned down in those few pockets it still manages to cling to relevance.
When does America finally do something about the amount of guns freely available to anyone in the country??
We are worried about the war in Iraq, and the terrorists from the Muslim world, this is a greater act of Terrorism which is infesting the minds of our children and scaring them from attending school and getting education.
We need to eradicated terrorism from within us first before we go out and worry about the world.
Why don’t the media call him a terrorist, just because he doesn’t have a Muhammad in his name? And we stereo type.
