   There is not check or balance here. Even in the most basic of auditing you balance the cash register with the money in the draw. The problem with a voting machine is all you can verify is total number of voters. There is absolutely nothing to validate votes cast.

   Personally I’d rather have hanging chads than I would paperless voting.
