Who would have EVER thought that it would be under attack and its renewal stalled? We are in a new era.

There are still questions unanswered about the 2000 and 2004 elections. This particular republican act could possibly be yet another method of cheating the election process. I certainly hope that the FBI is still independant enough to keep an eye on this objectivly. What good is a democracy if the elections are bunk?

I’m sympathetic to the argument that it’s past time to be singling out a handful of states for special scrutiny. But that would depend on what is found under that scrutiny. If violations are still popping up with predictable regularity, then continued special scrutiny is justified. If not, it’s not.

If I’ve said it once in the blogs, I’ve said it zilliion times…

….put nothing beyond these neo right wing extremists…nothing!

If they think that they have the slightest glimmer of a chance to pull something off they’ll try it, and so far they’ve been pretty sucessful in doing it if all the crap they’ve already pulled off indicates anything.
