    Typical.

I don't know this guy and as a public figure sure they should keep digging, but really the news seems pretty bigoted and anti gay itself. They don't exactly have secret passwords to gay bars, straight people do go to them, gay men also associate with people and go for rides in cars even when they don't plan on having sex with them. Straight married men are allowed to know “gays”, trust me, no rule against it. Finally this guy may be a self hatting nut but way to Manny people are labeled “anti” gay for not being “progressive” enough and it's not fair or correct.

Well, if the guy has an actual history of opposing gay rights, it does seem odd that he is hanging out with gay people.

More importantly…this guy is just a state senator. I don't like attacking either party using the actions of a handful of state officials. If this gus was a real Senator…I'd understand. Heck, I don't even think House Reps are really that important.

These people must really hate themselves.

When I say the title Wide Stance II I thought the story was going to be about NY Congressman Eric Massa and his sexual harassment of a male staffer. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/33960…

However, since Rep. Massa is a Democrat, I should have realized that he would never be discussed on Themoderatevoice any more than I would expect Joe to write about the hate crime hoax at UC-San Diego that has led to censorship and restrictions on speech there.

    ********

So which sweeping generalized conclusion applies:

    1. That all Senators are closet homosexuals

    2. That all homosexuals are drunk drivers

    3. Repeal DADT [gay marriage should therefore be legal]

Massa resigns; Democrats' ethical lapses could threaten hold on power

The announcement Friday by Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) that he will resign amid allegations that he sexually harassed a male staffer capped a week of near-daily ethical distractions for a party struggling to pass heath-care reform legislation.
