I just saw the headline; don’t have details yet. I’ll post again when I do.
Nothing at Memeorandum yet that I’ve seen.
UPDATE: Here is the article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. First two grafs:
U.S. Rep. John Murtha, an influential critic of the Iraq War whose congressional career was shadowed by questions about his ethics, died Monday. He was 77.
The Pennsylvania Democrat had been suffering complications from gallbladder surgery. He died at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va., spokesman Matthew Mazonkey said.
UPDATE 2: Wikipedia has already updated its page on Murtha.
UPDATE 3: It’s at Memeorandum now.
It appears he died from complications following gallbladder surgery

While there are certainly considerable political aspects to this story we can save that for another time.
For now deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones

hope he rests in peace. Give us an update as soon as you can K
Oh he will.
Sad to see John Murtha go: a former Marine, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran ( Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts), one of the first Vietnam veterans to sit in the House, staunch supporter of the military….
My condolences to his family

Disagreed with him on basically everything, but may he rest in peace.
“one of the first Vietnam veterans to sit in the House”
He was *the* first. I didn't always agree with him politically, but I cannot think of a more dedicated and honorable public servant. Whether you are Democrat or Republican—liberal or conservative—we are all poorer for his loss. RIP old soldier.
May he rest in peace, and may God have mercy upon his soul.
May he rest in peace. I'm another that didn't agree with him much but there's no question he sacrificed a lot for his country.
May goodness and peace be with him and all that hold him dear. May their grief be soothed by knowing his life was lived in service to his country and fellow citizens. . .
May he rest in peace. And may the GOP take this seat now in a district that went for McCain in 2008.
Ah yes. Dead Democrats means more Republicans.
