Get used to it. China is the new economic superpower, and we handed them the crown. Sure, they have some challenges, but are more than up for them. For instance, much of what they've been selling us lately, computer technology, is dependent on US chips from Intel and AMD. Not any more. They may be a few years from matching these chips, but already have a new slew of computers based on their own chip.
Though they long ago got all the manufacturing equipment they needed, they still lacked the second tier of equipment that maintains and fixes the manufacturing systems. No problem. Now they have that too. And for anyone who thinks we or anyone still outpaces them in manufacturing, consider that the best cameras, including Nikon are built there, as well as the iPod and lots of other things we think of as American, Japanese or some other nationality's creations.
