Congratulations on being selected to the panel and I can tell by the points you made that it was you…….and that's good, because you are younger and have more hair than I imagined!

Watched you last night, and you did great.

I am not saying so just because you are “the boss,” (albeit it never hurts to speak well of the boss)but because you made sense, spoke moderately (a credit to The Moderate Voice) and, more important, because I understand that you are short–like myself–and short people always do well :)

Kurokawa says that women are tired of the partisan rancor and then makes a claim about this administration that is just as false as anything from the RNC when she says that the idea of transparency has been completely dropped by the administration. Are they as transparent as some would like? No. Are they more transparent than virtually any of their predecessors? Yes.

Ali starts out talking about independents are this and are that, not addressing the extremely wide ideological spectrum they cover. Some are independent because they are centrists. Others find the Democrats too conservative. Some find the Republicans too liberal. The latter dominate the Tea Party movement, IMO, though as has been noted elsewhere no one has tried to find where those who identify with the movement really stand on a range of issues.

Joe, your point about consensus was great. It takes longer often, but it is thoughtful more than fiat, for certain. The tone of discourse is tone deaf I'd say, esp on talk radio and much of television also. I notice the extremes are on twitter too; thankfullly only one line rather than blah-blah ad infinitum

I would wish too, news media would quit referring to huge groups of people of mixed opinions as 'blacks' and 'whites.' There's HUGE diversity of viewpoints within the racial groups. White? Appalachian, Jewish upper east side, newly arrived Russian Jews, Polish Americans from South Bend, Hungarians like Soros? All so different.

ps I thought you looked handsome and composed and I liked the way you corrected yourself quickly and landed on your feet.

Joe- YOU NEVER SAID YOU WERE FROM SAN DIEGO!!!! I HAD NO IDEA! I don't know if you'd have any interest in meeting a 19 year old kid, but I'd like to meet you sometime if that's possible. Although I'm currently in college in Minnesota, I was born and raised in San Diego.

Joe you big TV pimp. Well done.

  7. Yes, Centrist Sam…I can be contacted email, on the web and also I have a biz number in San Diego. I’m in and out a lot. Also, if you’re a centrist and in college consider whether you’d be interested in doing a Guest Voice on tmv on a topic. We love to get new centrist voices (I mean this), particularly people who are in college and are looking at things with a different set of life experiences (which means perhaps a bit clearer). But I am here most of the year except when I travel (like I’m off to Florida for a week tomorrow)

  8. Leonidas says:

Nice job, consensus is the key, unless its in regard to a Congressional pay raise, then its a given.

I finally got the chance to watch this. Joe, you did a great job. You had your facts, you knew what you wanted to say, and you said it well. Also, I agree with Dr E: You looked handsome, indeed!
