After leaving a press conference at a gas station, Hastert steps out the hydrogen powered SUV he left the meeting in, and into the gas-guzzling SUV he returned to the Hill with.
Scott, I agree both sides of the aisle drive em. But this just smacks of the congressional hypocracy. Hey look at me I’m green….driver, get me to my escalade NOW!

This type of election year stunt, plus the $100 rebate idea is why congress is getting the kind of poll ratings that it is. And yes, the Democrats are equally guilty of driving big gas guzzlers!

I’m no fan or Mr. Hastert, but to be honest, he was not the only CongressCritter doing this, and it isn’t limited to his side of the aisle…
