They have some good ideas (everyone reviewing them knows they can do better, but what they're thinking about is obviously better than what they and the GOP have now). Too bad they are only apparently going to “suggest” these changes, which is a fallback on symbolism over substance (at best, they are merely going through the motions of flying trial balloons, without releasing the balloons or holding them up high, in order to avoid attracting too much attention with the balloons). I'd hate to see the equivalent of what Dems might suggest in the way of constitutional reforms. (A longer and more flowing preamble, with no changes to what is the actual law, the body of the document and amendments to it?)
Too bad they're so hung up on tradition and entrenched interests, i.e., conservative, and scared of reaction.
Its their party, they should be able to manage their process however they want.
