This isn’t a good time to buy any of them. For one thing, e-readers are too expensive. Though you might see a few small discounts over the holidays, you’ll pay at least $250 for a model with wireless access.

    Um, one exception to the e-book reader rule:
    You can get a 1st-gen refurb Kindle (they're basically new) for $150 from Amazon...

    I've had mine for a while, and it's been great so far!
