Using the 'wrong' footage once — I can see that as a mistake, such as someone in the back rooms grabbing the wrong reel or something like that.

But for the Fox Opinion Channel to use misleading footage *twice* in a week – well, it's getting hard to write that off as a simple mistake.

Shame on you, Fox Opinion Channel!

  2. DaGoat says:

I would see it the opposite mhlradio. Since Fox had to know they were under scrutiny from the last incident, it's less likely they did this intentionally and more likely it's carelessness or incompetence.

  3. Silhouette says:

Nice spin DaGoat! You wouldn't happen to work for Fox Opinion would you?..lol..

It's either gross incompetance or wilfully misleading their veiwers. I'm banking that it's both.

  4. TheMagicalSkyFather says:

They have been doing this for ten years not just a couple weeks. I give you the Democrat Mark Foley!

  5. D. E.Rodriguez says:

“Fair and balanced?” and incompetent, or dishonest, or both

  6. nicrivera says:

Let's not be too hard on Fox News. We all know that the space-time continuum has a left-wing bias.

  7. Davebo says:

I've got to agree with MSF. These aren't isolated incidents by Fox and are certainly nothing new.

And seriously, is anyone really surprised that Fox continues to do what it's done for years now?

  8. DLS says:

“more likely it's carelessness or incompetence”

Probably, like CNN's habit of misspelling words (names, even) and showing incorrect footage (as I've seen before).

  9. Silhouette says:

What DLS is saying is: “Anyone with a brain and any measure of self-respect should avoid viewing either CNN or Fox due to their high and apparently predictable levels of incompetence.”

    Did I get that right?

  10. TheMagicalSkyFather says:

Can you provide some good partisan examples? Making mistakes happens but making mistakes that always advantage one side and disadvantage the other is called propaganda. How many times has Fox mistakenly called a Democrat that is in a scandal a Republican? They do it all the time the other way around, in fact I think the quickest way to change parties now is to be a Republican that gets caught doing something because Fox will label you a Democrat after the next commercial break. MSNBC has one freakin picture and we hear about it for 6 months. Fox does this on a daily basis and we hear some more about MSNBC's picture. Does anyone have any footage of MSNBC or CNN reporters trying to get the crowd excited at protests? How about any documentation of them starting a protest movement? Fox is no more news than the 700 Club.

  11. DLS says:

    “What DLS is saying is:”

Self-explanatory. That assumes others can read and understand the obvious. I've seen failure recently.

“Can you provide some good partisan examples?”

No, I'm not prejudicial or politically slanted, as you apparently prefer to be. I'm referring to known examples of incompetence, actual misspellings (which should require no explanation to make clear), as well as showing incorrect footage (footage of other than what the person on audio was talking about, such as footage I recall of a different kind of aircraft than what the narrator was discussing, a blatant error. To some at CNN, any aircraft is suitable to show, even when a specific type is the subject of a “news” story.)

  12. TheMagicalSkyFather says:

Ah so theirs are embarrassing errors that show a lack of professionalism and Fox is um…a partisan biased version of that or do you agree that they do this on purpose? Also am I partisan because I notice this difference or because I speak of it out loud I am trying to pin down the specifics?

  13. shannonlee says:

I don't know…why bother pointing these things out on TMV? News Flash: The klan is full of racists. Some things just are and anyone on this site understands that FOX and MSNBC are both very bias. Sure, people will defend them both, but in the end….we all know.

  14. DLS says:

“so theirs are embarrassing errors that show a lack of professionalism and Fox is um”

Get “excited” and make up whatever you want rather than simply face what happened — don't try to pin it on anybody else if or when you do, though. I don't watch Fox, but have watched CNN at times this year, and am observent (unlike some, or many, others) and even have noticed the differences in its programming later this year versus earlier, as well as spotted spelling mistakes as well as other glitches in addition to gimmicks it has adopted (fast motion, cheap graphics and sound effects, flippant extra-casual behavior, replaying earlier-in-the-day clips from itself as well as other sources, including Fox). I've also left it to others to consider the laziness explanation for Fox as well, such as that it was not misleading (the way childish and agitated chumps are probably too prone to rush to conclude), but just cheap or careless, replaying some footage, any footage of Palin whenever “Palin” was the current story line, for example. If that's too hard to understand, that's not my problem.

“…why bother pointing these things out on TMV?”

Lefty agitation and childishness. It constitues as much as 90+ per cent currently of making Palin news.

“I'm not prejudicial or politically slanted”

[gasp] [chuckle] [lol] [OMG] [gag] [sigh] [wink]

  16. JSpencer says:

I'm guessing there's another “space-time continuum” explanation to support that contention… which doesn't make it any less hysterical.

  17. D. E.Rodriguez says:

Perhaps during the space-time coninuum prior to AD(LS)
