Dutch Declare Dominance in Dominoes

Dominoes

As a little boy, I used to crawl on the floor for hours setting up dozens of dominoes in various patterns, only to topple them down—and doing it over and over again.

Well, the Dutch have taken this pastime to new levels.

Today, “Domino Day,” they set a new world record—again—for the most consecutive dominoes to fall in succession, using over 4.5 million dominoes in a fantastic array of displays, including the Statue of Liberty and “Yes We Can.”

Thought you would like to know, and watch, on a weekend, up to now, fortunately void of any other earth-shaking news.

Well, that explains a lot [he said laughing in good humor]. On the other hand I spent an inordinate amount of my formative years playing with a Parakeet. One day they will put us both away...maybe we can get a Parakeet that can be trained to topple the first domino.

Nice to see something light hearted and fun. Thanks.

    You scared me tidbits.

When I read your "Well, that explains a lot [he said laughing in good humor]," referring to my "crawling on the floor" I had to recheck, afraid I had said; "As a little boy, I used to crawl on the floor on all four setting up dozens of dominoes..."

Thank goodness I hadn't, otherwise I and your Parakeet could have been be good friends :)
