Comment System Problems

Hello readers.

Disqus (our 3rd party commenting system) has been having some difficulties with spam filters and their databases. As a result, a large number of legit comments have been flagged as spam. We are in the process of un-marking those legit comments (not too fast and not too slow but tedious enough). Disqus is actively working this issue and it’s getting better.

So if your comment doesn’t appear immediately, please don’t leave another one. It may have been marked as spam and we will take care of it. If you could, please try to refrain from putting links/URLs in your comments until we notify you that things are good. It seems that those comments containing URLs, even if legit, are being marked incorrectly more.

   I had noticed the URL connection to the majority of my missing posts. I was almost wondering if embedded links were being banned to keep the lawyers away from TMV over IP rights!

   thanks tyrone: I noticed that a lot of links are coming in as Twitters are pretty low spam. They show up on TMV at the bottom of readers comments. Disquis only provides for one choice, hide, rather than delete or mark as spam. I wondered if you could find out more about this?
