Lines both clear and blurred

The chaos affecting US politics in general, and the right-wing in particular, can be seen in my reactions posted at my own weblog, Random Fate, to two posts at Power Line, which is definitely a right-wing cheerleading weblog.

The first:

Dogs and cats sleeping together

references the rarity in which I am in accord with the sentiments expressed at Power Line.

The second:

Of course, the all too brief moment of accord…

demonstrates in the very next post at Power Line how the naked, short-sighted partisanship of that weblog reduces their credibility (although that implication is not made explicit in my post beyond an accusation of their playing Calvinball).

Fairness is one thing, partisanship is another, and mindless cheerleading is beyond either.

Perhaps we should all examine where we draw the lines for each.
