The You’ve Got To Be Kidding Department

I mean REALLY….

(Please Mommy, please make them stop…please let the man who keeps jumping in the spotlight go away and also make the people who are using him for things stop. Oh, please, Mommy.. I promise won’t be bad anymore — just please make them STOP!)

And some people thought they were kidding about Palin-Wurzelbacher in '12.

Who say's republicans don't have a sense of humor!!! Oh wait, is this supposed to be serious?? Omg……………. how embarassing.

  3. Rudi says:

Let's not forget that JtP showed up at an Obamama rally. Either it was a sheer coincident, or Republican ops planted him there. Either way, Joe the Plumber is a blathering idiot, I doubt if he'll debate the merits of Kirk, Hayek, Hasek or Oakenshott. ( I may have the spellings off of these conservative braniacs, they ain't no plumbers)

Joe is the Sanjaya of American politics! God save us from famous no-nothings!

    kritt,

There is no better representative of the hardcore Republican base than a know-nothing. These are the same people who oppose science standards that don't bring creationism or “creation science” into the classroom.

There was a time when conservatism was thinking conservatism. Bill Bennett – before he got stupid and addicted to gambling – was one such intellectual. Where are they now? Where is the new generation of conservatives who have graduate degrees and are able to go toe-to-toe with the left? The dumbing down of the GOP irks me greatly, and is part of the reason why I'm a conservative man without a party.

  7. kritt11 says:

That's true, Manchester. What about the late William F Buckley and Christopher Hitchens??

I am surprised that more educated conservatives don't speak out against the anti-elitist movement in the GOP. They have to realize that bringing populist but ignorant voices into the party only drags them down. Intelligence and superior education is nothing to be ashamed about.
