Obama needs to evade the temptation to provide fodder for the GOP to blame him from their Oil-takeover attempts by continuing erroneous military activities abroad: in Afghanistan or elsewhere.. Remember how Vietnam was "JFK's fault", when Eisenhower was inserting might there long before Kennedy took office?...yeah...

Sink every penny you would otherwise have sunk there exterminating the "terrorists" from the pocketbook up. Create jobs at home, ban outsourcing, implement universal health care, promote alternative power in every way and drastically reduce demand for foreign oil. Let the American-politics-made terrorists go back to farming goats in the sand. It's hard to afford ammunition and tanks with goat skins and lentil beans..

Walk away. Sometimes the answer really is that simple. We are the Middle East's biggest consumer. Let China and Russia go bankrupt tooling their economies and infrastructure around Middle Eastern oil this time How many lives would be lost walking away vs staying? Let us grow strong by energy independance and indifference to foreign oil politics. Goodnight BigOil, it's been fun...
