Africa has made no more than cameo appearances here at TMV, yet this great continent is the site of an ongoing confrontation (for example) between the U.S. and China. China for years now has been pumping in major money, buying influence and power. This has gone largely under the radar of Western media. Right now, thousands are dying of cholera in Zimbabwe, but do we hear about it? And what about AIDS? Let's see more about Africa, please.
