The Purr is Gone
Samuel the Cat has gone to Critter Heaven after 17 years of purring in my lap. He was the last of the Fur Family, the 3 critters who moved to Cincinnati with me 8 years ago. Here is a photo of Samuel in March 2008:

As a fellow cat lover who always has at least 2 in our house (we are about to rescue a third!), I am sending you my condolences.
Looks like he had a good life if he lived to 17.

I'm sure he will be sorely missed. We have two kitty-boys who are mid-life, wonderful little bundles of furry, purring love that add to life's simple pleasures in non-measurable ways.
May you have warm memories of Samuel, as I suspect he had many wonderful times with you.
Very sorry for your loss, Holly. We have one older one deteriorating after battling diabetes for six years ourself, so I can definitely relate. Hang in there.
Sorry for your loss Holly. I've always had dogs and cats in the house and well know how they become part of the family. Sounds like Samuel had a good long life with you.

Very sorry that Samual couldnt make it a little while longer in good health, Holly. He was an elderly gent it's easy to see. You must have taken such good care of him. I am sad for your sadness and will pray the coming days be softened with wonderful memories of Samuel.

My condolences Holly, it is never easy to lose a member of the family. I still miss my beloved siamese who passed away 17 years ago.
