Short and sweet from my tweet:
Everyone tuned in to see if she repeats CBS. She does not. Even if he wins on policy, on facts, on points, she wins by not failing utterly.
I’ll be eager to see the ratings. I expect they’ll be substantially higher than last week’s debate. I’d bet money on a bounce in the polls for McCain. But no fundamental change: Obama wins in the end.

LATER: Time used by Joe Biden 40:26. Time used by Sarah Palin: 40:59.
Change in the polls?–Unlikely.
I think there will probably be a slowdown and/or stoppage to the trend towards the Obama/Biden ticket that has occurred in the past week, but you're statement that McCain/Palin will get a “bounce” out of this is way off and I wish I could actually bet you on that.
Let's make it a gentlemen's bet. My thought remains that, for example, here in Georgia where Dem Jim Martin suddenly has some hope of offing Chambliss, Palin's performance not only stemmed the tide flowing away from the Republicans, but brought some who had strayed back. From what I am seeing today, you might well win but there's always a little lag in the polls.
