Most provocative quotes of the day:
“It’s time to let Palin be Palin–and let it all hang out.” –Scott Reed, a Republican strategist, in the Wall Street Journal.
“McCain needs to liberate his running mate from the former Bush aides brought in to handle her–aides who seem to have succeeded in importing to the Palin campaign the trademark defensive crouch of the Bush White House.” –William Kristol, New York Times.
In what conjures up visions of Dr. Frankenstein retooling his creation in the lab, Gov. Palin is being whisked off for pre-debate work, the Journal reports:
“McCain campaign manager Rick Davis and senior adviser Steve Schmidt…plan to fly with her on Monday to Sen. McCain’s ranch in Sedona, Ariz., which they hope she will find a comforting place to prep…
Let's compare and contrast. On one side of the ticket, you have the candidate for VP taking some time to prepare for a debate after campaigning as the VP for one month. On the other side of the ticket, you have a candidate for President taking 3 days to prepare for a debate after being the nominee for four months and after having campaigned and debated the issues for over a year. If you post had examined Mr. Obama's debate preperation, had examined Mr. McCain's debate preperation or had at least referenced Mr. Biden's debate prep, you might have been able to make a point about Mrs. Palin. Since you failed to do so, you've only posted a partisan word salad. Nice work.
WTF PWT, the links in the post are from the WSJ and Billy Kristol. Next thing we'll here is that George Will is criticizing mcClown.
