Conservative Pioneer Viguerie: Palin Is Perfect Vice Presidential Pick

Conservative pioneer Richard Viguerie just sent out this email-press release praising GOP Presidential nominee-to-be Sen. John McCain’s selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for Vice President as “perfect.” Here it is in full:

With VP pick, McCain “unites the GOP, gives conservatives a stake in the election, and puts a real reformer on the ticket”

(Minneapolis, MN) The selection of Governor Sarah Palin as John McCain’s vice presidential running mate unites the Republican Party and energizes its conservative base, Richard A. Viguerie said.

“McCain has chosen to balance his ticket with a principled conservative. Governor Palin’s life story is one of sticking to principle. She is living proof that a person can take on the corrupt political establishment – including corrupt leaders in her own party – and achieve great things,” he said.

Viguerie, the Chairman of ConservativeHQ.com, added: “There’s an old expression in politics: Go along to get along. Not this time. The selection of Sarah Palin is one big kick-in-the-pants to the corrupt establishment in both parties.

“Congratulations to John McCain for hearing and responding to conservatives. Conservatives, the base of the party, have been listless. But, now, nearly all will work enthusiastically for the McCain-Palin ticket. In fact, this is the most enthusiastic conservatives have been since the era for Ronald Reagan.”

He concluded: “This is a grand-slam home run. Conservatives’ feet haven’t touched the ground since this announcement.”

Well amen to the title of his book.

Im a Reagan Democrat who came to the GOP for the promise of "Oh I fergit now what they promise." I just know they essentially lied to me.

I voted for Reagan twice and he lied. I voted for GWB the first and he was about the only one who did what he promised which was nothing. I voted for Bill Clinton twice and he got impeached but he did finally balance the budget. I voted for Gore and He lost. In 2004 I was out of the country and didnt care anymore.

This time around I tried to care. I tried to get excited and was for about 30 seconds when McCain said hed balance the budget. But that was it. I'm sure he has no intention of balancing the budget.

They are all good guys. All patriots. All Love their country. They are all dedicated public servants who want what they believe is the best for this country.

Unfortunately once they get in office they will Lie to me yet again. So this year Im in the country and I will not vote. I have lost my sense of civic duty and I no longer feel that anyone who runs for office is honest or upstanding or willing to do what they say.

My non vote is essentially NONE OF THE ABOVE.
I wont be suckered in again, but then Im old and Ive earned that right.
