Dreams Of Turning Democratic Convention 2008 Denver Into Democratic Convention 1968 Chicago?

There are some who apparently dream of doing just that and they’re organized with details on websites.

Well if organized adolescents want to throw tantrums at the Convention, that's their perogative I guess. But making a mess of the democratic party will be counterproductive in exact proportion to the goals they actually want to acheive.

Demonstrations at the GOP convention make more sense kids? Dontcha' think? But then again Ritter is presiding in Denver so, yeah, maybe I see the confusion..

Hormones can be so disruptive at that age… ; )

If he is doing this under the umbrella of a 501c3 corp, then the IRS can nail him for violation and yank their status- ergo back taxes baby. Throwing a tantrum is different from inciting violence and purporting anarchy. Free speech is not always “free”, there is a social contract involved. ie yelling “fire” in a theater or other speech intended to promote civil unrest/chaos. They can protest all they want, but in the end they are shooting themselves in the foot and giving more to the opposition.

Exactly Sil. This is totally cheese and crackers!

'68 ended up with Nixon in the White House. I would imagine these people want a McCain Presidency then?

Where is the logic here? Obama is the nominee…and he was against the war…and they are protesting against the war…so why are they intent on disrupting Obama's convention and lending ammunition to the GOP?

    Nutters.
