‘Barack Obama Pumped Up His Muscles Right Next to Me’

This story was first mentioned in the United States by Maureen Dowd of The New York Times. In her column she wrote that Barack Obama felt ‘hustled’ by a German reporter for the Bild newspaper, who pretended to have accidentally noticed him at a Berlin gym and sought to have a picture taken with him.

As it turned out – she had stalked him to write this article, which WORLDMEETS.US has translated. The story is packaged with a video of the reporter, Judith Bonesky, breathlessly describing her encounter with the ‘well striated’ Barack Obama.

Bonesky writes in part:

“Barack Obama puts his arm around my shoulders and I put my arm around his hip. Wow! He isn’t even sweating! And I think: WHAT A MAN!”

Germany – Bild – Original Article (German)

1600 Hours. I’ve been working out for an hour at the studio on the first floor of Berlin’s upscale Hotel Ritz Carlton. In the 40-square-meter room there are two treadmills, three cross-trainers, two stationary bicycles, a bench for lifting weights and three special machines to do arm, stomach and leg training.

The digital readout of my cross-trainer indicates that I’ve burned 420 calories when suddenly, a man wearing a suit (with an earphone) steps through the door and addresses me in English, “Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama is coming. He would like to train here. Please avoid using your telephone or talking to him!”

Seconds later: The door opens. It’s really him! He’s much taller than I thought (6.1 feet tall).

1600 hours, 40 square meter room, 400 calories, 6.1 tall...It's a sign! The numbers tell you that Obama is The One! Incidentally, this story makes The Bild newspaper sound like a tabloid.

I barely read it as it sounded too much like the stuff Jr. High Schooler write about their latest crush.
I support Sen Obama and see this with some humor but, also cringe worthy.

    A groupie has spoken.
  • good grief. _what_ muscles? every picture i've seen he's got that weird combination of being both thin _and_ flabby.

the man sure has a good marketer.

My first thought was good thing it wasn't an American newspaper or reporter. They would have been accused of being racist.

Oh c'mon. Anyone with half a brain can see this is a "don't worry, Obama isn't gay" piece...

He appeals to the ladies. So did Rock Hudson.. Obama's body language in the picture says more about flaccid interest in the cute young woman than turgid interest...

For those who say Obama worship isn't real, from the Huffington Post (hat tip Instapundit) -

“Barack Obama is inspiring us like a desert lover, a Washington Valentino,” Lili Haydn wrote in the Huffington Post. “Couples all over America are making love again and shouting ‘Yes we can’ as they climax.”
  • I'm going to all 1980s on y'all by saying:

    WEIRD-O-RAMA!

    November can't arrive soon ENOUGH!

“Barack Obama is inspiring us like a desert lover, a Washington Valentino,” Lili Haydn wrote in the Huffington Post. “Couples all over America are making love again and shouting ‘Yes we can’ as they climax.”

And ah yes, as we know "Lili Haydn" speaks for ALL Obama supporters....

yes ctf, when ever an example is shown of over-the-top reactions, the way to deflect is to try and make false claims against the point raised. Typical Liberal BS.

I never said all, or even most, Obama supporters feel this way. i just pointed out an amusing, I thought, over-wrought post that DOES go to the argument by some that there really isn't any Obama-worship happening.

I will say that that that view expressed is however a reflection of the views of at least a significant and vocal minority of his supporters. And I cannot image anyone posting something similar about McCain or Hillary.

Hilarious. In the previous version of the article, she describes him doing 70lb. dumbbells ten reps each arm with no warm-up---an unhealthy if not totally exaggerated observation by a Dutch dodo-ditz.

As funny as that Spiegel gasbag intoning " I have seen #44 speak Berlin" simply because the hysteria-prone Kraut-meathead masses were swept away.

    Remind anyone of Adolf?
