Clinton And Obama: A Contrast In Campaign Styles

A fascinating observation from My DD’s Jonathan Singer.

I was hesitant at first to link to mydd but, went ahead and feel like writing to Ripley's believe it or not.
Mydd is notoriously like Hillaryis44, talk left and Taylor Marsh. A swamp infested with the paranoid rantings of Clinton's supporters. Usually it is just garbage fed to that paranoia and angry rants about Obama being the devil, ect.
This posting was a pleasant surprise for it's insight.

The contrast is not really a fair contrast, as the MyDD writer pretends.

It is not Clinton strong-arming, and Obama being supportive. After all, Pelosi has been a thinly-veiled Obama supporter...hardly playing the neutral role one would expect of her position as, for example, Howard Dean has been playing.

Clinton leaned on Pelosi. Obama was simply countering and supported one of HIS main BACKERS.

This MyDD story is one of the things I really hate about coverage of Obama. He can play basic Chicago-rules politics...and yet comes out represented as Saint Obama.

It will be interesting to see how Teflon Obama fares against Teflon McCain in the fall (should O. be the candidate). Alas, HRC is the Velcro of candidates...everything sticks (though, given her history, perhaps with good reason).

Well let's see.... a few rich Clinton elites pout and threaten to take their money elsewhere if Pelosi doesn't back away from her pro-Obama statements. Then a host of typical Obama supporters chip in and donate to the DCCC to offset whatever loss there might be from Clinton's supporters.

This is exactly why we need Obama in office- Hillary's supporters feel entitled and want things their way and will use the threat of money to attempt to get what they want. Our government should be by the people and for the people, as Obama advocates. Our government should not be sold to a bunch of wannabe kings and queens. Hillary represents the old style politics of cronyism- it's the system she grew up in, understands the best and is comfortable with.
