Buoyed by his Benghazi hearings “success” and apparently not happy with the dramatic drop in the September unemployment rate from 8.1% to 7.8%, House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) told Fox News on Wednesday that he would hold hearings into these job numbers, “buying into a widely-discredited conspiracy theory that President Obama faked last month’s figure to improve his re-election chances,” according to ThinkProgress.
When asked by Greta van Susteren when Issa wanted to hold these hearings, Issa reportedly said, “we very much intend to work every day through November and December to get these kind of things done. We’re hoping that this is a good nonpartisan time.”
With reports of stronger housing markets that “helped boost economic growth at the end of the summer in nearly every region of the United States,” according to a Fed survey released Wednesday, we can expect to see much more good, “nonpartisan time” had by Issa and his investigators.

Update:
The Huffington Post now reports that a spokesperson for Issa’s office has sent over a statement which says that there are currently no plans to hold hearings on the subject, but that Issa does not rule them out.
