This is serious, and I just hope it’s not political.
The comments around the blogosphere are sickening. Can’t people just let it go for one day,or until wi know what happened and if everyone is safe?
I actually liked the Hillary Clinton-Benito Mussolini similarity photo-pair. Besides, the original Hillary Clinton HMO-”alliance”-based health care plan was fascistic and would have made Mussolini proud.
As to this hostage situation, my first amusing thought is, that’s the kind of person who thinks Clinton is too conservative, or more laughably still, a conservative or conservative.

Of course, everyone hopes nobody gets hurt.
It might not be political- John Hinkley’s attempted assasination of Reagan was apolitical-just due to mental illness. We’re just primed to believe everything in the realm of politics comes down to partisanship.
BTW, prayers for the hostages-no one deserves to be in the middle of this kind of situation, whether you agree with their candidate or not.
Politics are inevitable here given the scene of the crime. It would be less newsworthy, and may have ended much earlier, had the guy done this in an airport. (Does the apparent bomb say “BOMB” on it, as some people wondered when the TSA searches failed to find fake bombs on luggage months ago?)
