Reading this should make readers also consider what may be happening in the USA with people migrating largely south and west, but also, as in the past, out of California (which happened in the early 1990s; I was one of those who left) and view this UK issue in much the same light.
* White flight?
* Gresham’s law applied to society (bad people drive out the good)?
* Economic opportunities or other conditions better elsewhere? (within the USA? Canada, ANZ, or the Continent in the case of Britons? Or Ireland?)
* Push factors and pull factors at work?
* Would people return from where they left? Why or why not?
And even before doing that, consider the comments those in or from the UK had to say about this exodus themselves.
