GOP Pulls Support From Akin Campaign
Looks like the Akin campaign is getting a dose of Ben Gay (sorry had to go with the pun)
The national GOP has pulled financial support, my guess is he drops out by the end of the week, if not the end of the day

Wouldn’t that be Preparation H?
Rape Comments Redux;
From NYT – March 1990 – Clayton Williams, running for governor of Texas, compared the cold, foggy weather at an event to a rape, telling ranch hands, campaign workers and reporters around a campfire, ”If it’s inevitable, just relax and enjoy it.’
From Raleigh N&O April 21, 1995 – Women do not get pregnant when raped because “the juices don’t flow, the body functions don’t work” during an attack, a state lawmaker said yesterday.
Republican Representative Henry Aldridge made the remarks to the House Appropriations Committee as it debated a proposal to eliminate a state abortion fund for poor women.
January 2012 In an interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan, Republican candidate Rick Santorum said that when a woman becomes pregnant after being raped, she has a duty to keep the child.
The former Pennsylvania Senator said the victim should not get an abortion, but instead welcome their “horrible gift from God” because “we have to make the best out of a bad situation.”

Akin vowed to stay in the race, which is the only thing logical about his position.
He may still win the race. Can you imagine such a thing?
You should — because if we claim to embrace reality — then we must acknowledge that he may still win.
Awful.
I wrote a complaint email to the House Science committee. What are the odds of him getting the boot?
Eehh…not just because of my email
