All those people with whom we have nothing in common suddenly become human when they turn out to be a daughter.

I am all for being human. It sort of makes you wonder, though.

We’re still waiting for what Cheney will say in his memoirs. (Cheney? Memoirs???)

With all the bionic implants he has now and considering future medical advances, I predict he won’t be old enough to write his memoirs for another 350 years, give-or-take.

This is one issue where I just don’t understand the opposition. Abortion? Yeah, I get why people are against it, even though I disagree. Staying in Iraq? There’s some sound reasoning there behind all the rhetoric, though again, I disagree.

Telling gay people they can’t get married? I just don’t get it. How does it hurt society or degrade marriage? Why do some people just hate homosexuality? There’s seriously nothing scary about gay people – they’re just people like you and me. It makes no sense to me at all.

You can see the actual announcement here

It’s so rare to see a moment of clear sincerity, of an elected official with their heart on their sleeve. You can tell this is really deeply personal, that it wasn’t easy. I hope the citizens of his city understand that, and I’m thrilled for the GLBT community of San Diego, who can see that their leader is there for them.
Now if we can just get Ahhhnold to come around, we’d be all set!

He’s more machine now than man. Twisted and evil :)
