And now, we find the interesting spectacle of no major media having picked up the kerfluffing of a self-manufactured kerfuffle, so the Breitbarts, the Malkins and the rest of the flying monkey corps have pressed two members of congress into service, and one phony “ACLU” founded by and located on Pat Robertson’s “university” campus. The grammar may be skewed, but you take my meaning. Lookie the giant headline:

And, today marks another designated day of internet brownshirt calisthenics, as rightie blogs SHUT DOWN in protest of something or other.
Seems rather counter-productive, considering that them SHUTTING UP for a day is not so much an angry protest as a Godsend. Here’s the beginning of the email that Eric Odom (first tea party website up) just sent out:

Most of you have probably never heard of Brett Kimberlin. That’s quite understandable because most of our team had never heard of him either… until this week. You see, Brett Kimberlin, also known as the “speedway bomber,” recently began organizing coordinated attacks on conservative writers. Kimberlin is using the legal system to shut down free speech and he’s doing so effectively.
There is another sinister angle to what Kimberlin and his eThugs are doing. They’re now organizing SWATtings against bloggers. In essence, someone calls the police to report a shooting in a conservative blogger’s home, then a SWAT team shows up and arrests the blogger at gun point.
This harassment is illegal and is aimed at completely shutting down opposing opinions. And unfortunately, there are judges willing to go along with it…
If it’s “illegal” isn’t there the LAW? Is an electronic lynch mob of e-vigilantes REALLY necessary, or is this wind-sprints for a coordinated truncheon to wield in October and November?

Yup. The teapot grows ever more tempesty. But WHY this. And WHY now? This question has perplexed me, but, if one sits in the data stream long enough, patterns begin to emerge.
And we now have a possible “key” courtesy of that same Odium:

There is this whole “vetting” thing going on, that Breitbart was bragging about before he keeled over dead of heart failure (appropriately enough).
Clearly, it was a planned, coordinated campaign for the fall. Breitbart and Tucker Carlson executed a deception to have lunch with Bill Ayers (guilt by association “palling around with terrorists”), and there is a continual drumbeat about being “intimidated” by leftist thugs, which, as anybody who knows leftists in America knows, is a JOKE.
The morlocks accuse the eloi of dark deeds. The Nazis complain about being brutalized by Jews. The lion bleats in terror about the horrific lamb.
Breitbart evidently identified whatshisname as a target. And now, we have a target.

On successive Fridays, massive coordinated efforts take place to get the rightie blogs into lockstep.
Do we believe that this is about some guy intimidating rightie bloggers?
Hell, they’re pressuring the Justice Department. They’ve got Crazy Republican Senator (I know, redundant) on board — using the official U.S. Senate server — Saxby Chambliss, who, as the fellow from Georgia who defeated a paraplegic Vietnam veteran by morphing him into Osama bin Laden, knows something about intimidation.

And there’s Michelle Malkin leading the cheers, as she is wont to do — and did last week, keeping the Jerry Lewis Telethon-style board of conforming con bloggers (with this priceless headline):

But they haven’t managed to walk the story into the mainstream media (who, when they finally capitulate will give a “wots all this, then?” and obediently repeat the gist of each and every slur with a minor nod to giving an opposing view.

ABC news briefly broke through the firewall.* But, without a compliant Howie Kurtz at the Washington Post (to walk the story from Bill Kristol’s office to the New York Times, as he did with the Private Beauchamp Affair), the “blogburst” has not quite breached the firewall between right wing media manipulation and insanity, and actual news that means something to sane people.
Which indicates that this is what you would call a conspiracy. A conspiracy involving two congresspersons, an army of rightie bloggers and, seemingly, planned by the dead hand of Breitbart. Whether he wanted a “high tech lynching” — in the immoral [sic] words of Clarence Thomas at his confirmation hearings — or not is a matter of conjecture. The fact that it IS ought to be cause for alarm and analysis. Instead, the rest of the mediasphere remains either comatose or glibly dismissive.
And that’s what’s screaming on the day they go “dark.”
By dark, evidently, and “silent” they clearly mean that they’ve turned their blog pages dark and are screaming louder than ever.
Or, as the insane projection cited at the beginning notes:
