In choosing now to label Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a “terrorist group,” the United States is shooting itself in the foot.

Labeling the revolutionary guards what it actually is, a terrorist group, is exactly the right thing to do.
Sane voices are reporting on more setbacks in Iran’s UEP, the “war crowd” is pushing their rhetoric for an attack on Iran. While the IG are sponsors of terrorism, labeling them as such won’t stop the UEP, it will make things worse. Maybe a saner approach is to let the Iranians bankrupt their economy (like the USSR), than to send an air attack on a nationalistic country.
