A Turning Point For Turkey?

Turkish citizens go to the polls on Sunday for an important election. Will the vote reverse the course of Islamization or move it further down the road of becoming a more Islamic, socially conservative society and a foreign policy more attuned to Iran and Syria than to the United States?     Rubin makes the current Turkish government sound very much like our current government in the United States. Fortunately for the Turks, their current government is far more competent and, I believe, more benevolent than our own. A sad state of affairs for us.

    Isn’t the current government the one trying to join the EU and such? It’s hardly acting like Iran….
