Unless you have more support than the margin of error, your campaign doesn’t matter. In fact, not even a one-issue candidate will have any impact with 1% in the polls.
Not much surprise there. He was raising no money. I guess being conservative isn’t enough- you also need some personality and charisma. Gilmore’s a little short on both. He was a mediocre governor, who turned into a forgettable presidential candidate , and made an unmemorable exit after leaving almost no impression on primary voters.
