Russia and China Veto Syrian Resolution
Despite overwhelming evidence that the Syrian government has been brutalizing the people on the orders of President Assad, the Russian and Chinese ambasadors to the UN exercised their veto on a resolution calling for Assad to leave power.
One wonders why a brutal dictatorship and a quasi dictatorship would oppose such a resolution….

I would have instructed the UN Ambassador to join China and Russia in this one. It is none of the UN’s concern, nor should the UN, NATO, or the rest get involved.
Russia and China seem to have the most influence with Syria. Why are they behaving like wankers? I suppose they are threatened by the whole arab spring thing.
China and Russia wish to reserve their right to murder and rape their own people. As the two remaining countries led by oppressive regimes that rely on death and fear to rule over their slaves, they know that revolution is the only threat to their power, therefore they need to be able to kill their own people.
…and then there is also that whole money thing.
It is the UN’s role on this planet to be involved in this situation. God forbid we sit back and watch another genocide.
