They’re piling on former House Speaker and front runner for the 2012 Republican Presidential nomination. Who are they? They conservative intellectual pundits (“intellectual”: that lets talk show hosts out..).
Of course they are… they know Newt will get stomped in the general election. They may bash Obama and treat him like a dog, but secretly they respect his ability to campaign and debate. They know he is tough opponent.
I wonder which the Tea Party people will listen to – the elites or the radio talk show hosts?
Remember when Mom said don’t do something – that’s exactly what you wanted to do. This is kinda the same thing.

Interesting how the big voices in the GOP are more concerned about Newt’s “conservative” creds than they are his ethical lapses.
